Overview:
Prefabricated cabin is an outdoor intelligent substation launched by State Grid of China based on the core concept of "standard distribution". The adoption of prefabricated cabin structure has become an important measure for the construction of secondary equipment carriers in intelligent substations. With the acceleration of the construction pace of smart grids, the speed of substation construction is relatively lagging behind. In order to accelerate the construction cycle of intelligent substations, State Grid Corporation of China has proposed a standard distribution type substation construction model, which achieves rapid promotion and practicality of intelligent substations (prefabricated cabins) through a plan of "standardization, factory processing, and assembly type construction".
Prefabricated cabin is an important embodiment of new technologies, materials, and equipment applied in intelligent substations. It is composed of prefabricated cabin, secondary equipment screen cabinets (or racks), cabin auxiliary facilities, etc. It completes production,assembly, wiring, debugging, and other work in the factory, and is transported as a whole to the engineering site, located on the installation foundation. The prefabricated cabin and its internal secondary equipment are integrated by the manufacturer, achieving factory processing, reducing on-site secondary wiring, reducing design, construction, debugging, and workload, simplifying maintenance work, shortening construction cycles, and effectively supporting the rapid construction of the power grid.

Standardization

Modularization
The cabin is divided into several modular compartments according to the different functions of the electrical equipment, and through the collaborative work of each module, the prefabricated cabin substation becomes a new type of power transmission and distribution facility.
Prefabrication
The cabin and the configured equipment are prefabricated, installed, debugged, and tested in the factory. After completion, this is a standard prefabricated cabin that is required by the customer's project.
Usage environment:
1. Altitude not exceeding 1000m.
2. The maximum ambient temperature shall not exceed+40°C, the minimum temperature shall not be lower than -25°C, and the average temperature within a 24-hour cycle shall not exceed+35°C.
3. Outdoor wind speed shall not exceed 35m/s.
4. The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 90% (+25°C).
5. The horizontal acceleration of earthquakes shall not exceed 0.4m/s3, and the vertical acceleration shall not exceed 0.2m/s.
6. Places without fire, explosion hazard, severe pollution, chemical corrosion, and severe vibration.

Product Features:
1. The prefabricated cabin is treated with rust prevention, sandblasting, and zinc spraying using container specific heavy- duty anti-corrosion coating, with a service life of 20 years.
2. The prefabricated cabin adopts a container structure to ensure its mechanical strength, stiffness, load capacity, and other requirements.
3. The roof adopts a herringbone slope form, with a slope generally not less than 5。to prevent rain and snow accumulation. In cold areas,the roof slope should be appropriately increased to prevent snow accumulation.
4. Prefabricated cabins generally use rock wool purification boards and polyurethane insulation. The fire resistance rating can reach Class A or B1, with insulation, insulation, and fire protection to meet the needs of prefabricated compartments in various substations.
5. Prefabricated cabin is sealed and waterproof, with waterproof and rust proof treatment. The overall protection level of the cabin reaches IP54. The prefabricated cabin doors are equipped with waterproof sealing strips made of EPDM rubber. The joints between the two cabins are sealed with dedicated silicone rubber sealing strips. The air inlet and fan outlet are equipped with dedicated louvers or ducts, and a dedicated dust filter is installed inside to meet the requirements.
6. Internal HVAC design, equipped with air conditioning fans according to actual needs, to achieve intelligent temperature control, cooling,heating, and dehumidification functions.
7. The design of security, fire protection, and lighting equipment inside the cabin meets the requirements of the prefabricated cabin.
8. Prefabricated cabin grounding settings, with internal grounding connected to external prefabricated cabin grounding and foundation embedded grounding, meeting the grounding requirements of prefabricated substations.
